TLIF0025 Follow work health and safety procedures (BlueCard)

BlueCard is the transport and logistics industry’s recognised Work Health and Safety (WHS) induction credential and skills passport.

BlueCards must be renewed every 5 years to remain current. iTFE offers both:
BlueCard Refresher – for participants renewing an existing BlueCard.
BlueCard New Application – for individuals applying for a BlueCard for the first time.

What is a BlueCard?

The Transport and Logistics Industry BlueCard is an entry-level Work Health and Safety (WHS) program that provides the essential skills and knowledge to work safely in the transport, warehousing and logistics sectors.

Recognised across the industry, BlueCard promotes safe work practices, hazard awareness, legal responsibilities and consistent safety standards. As transport and logistics are higher-risk industries, the training helps workers identify and manage risks associated with driving, freight handling, warehousing operations and manual tasks.

Upon successful completion, participants receive a BlueCard, demonstrating their understanding of WHS requirements and commitment to safe work practices. Whether starting a career or meeting employer requirements, BlueCard training through iTFE provides the knowledge and confidence to work safely and effectively.

Entry Requirements

iTFE accepts applications from domestic students. Training and assessment are conducted in English, and
some assessment tasks are completed using a computer and the internet.

This unit of competency is available for first time learners as well as those that need to complete a Refresher.

The refresher is for those who hold the TLIF1001 Follow work health and safety procedures and are required to update for a new ‘Blue Card’.

New Applications:

• USI number or evidence of application
• Complete a short LLND assessment

Refresher Applications:

• USI transcript
• Copy of Statement of Attainment for TLIF1001
• Copy of completed professional development in the workplace within the last month as evidence of working
• Complete a short LLND assessment
• Complete workplace induction procedures
• Participate in environmentally sustainable work practices

Accreditation

Upon successfully completion students will receive a statement of attainment:
