This Pre-Employment program provides comprehensive insights into the Aged Care industry, including essential information on career prospects, nationally recognised competency units, and the essential skills and knowledge employers are looking for. It is a 6-day course which runs for 3 days per week and is open to anyone with the required written and spoken English skills. Upon successful completion, students will receive a Statement of Attainment for all accredited training.
Aged Care Pathway to Employment training program supports participants to gain entry-level employment or a traineeship in the aged care sector.
Upon successful completion of the Pre-employment program, students will have acquired the skills and knowledge needed to understand the aged care industry and the various employment and career prospects it has to offer, build confidence to work effectively with elderly individuals, complete accredited courses to expand their employment opportunities, investigate study options to get a full certification in the field, and locate and secure flexible, long-term employment in the sector. Upon successful completion, learners will receive a Statement of Attainment for all accredited training.
6 Day Course
All sessions are face to face 10am to 3pm, 3 days per week.
It is mandatory for all students undertaking Nationally Recognised Training in Australia to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Students will need their USI to apply to enrol for training. Visit www.usi.gov.au for more information.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however students are expected to have or be able to achieve written and spoken English skills to the certificate level of the course, or the ability to develop these skills whilst in training to meet the requirements of the qualification. To allow our trainers to support your learning, students will need to complete a student profile, including language, literacy and numeracy indicators before their enrolment application is accepted.
