iTFE launches WHS Academy offering integrated training to reduce risks and ensure compliance in modern Australian workplaces

iTFE (part of the IntoWork Group) has launched an all-purpose WHS Training Academy offering a comprehensive suite of nationally recognised training solutions. Options range from entry level programs in First Aid, Mental Health and Health and Safety Representation, to an extensive range of targeted health and safety short courses and a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.

Businesses looking to upskill their teams and individuals seeking to advance their careers can now choose from a range of specialist courses and tailored workplace safety training programs designed to ensure compliance with contemporary work health and safety regulations.

Head of Faculty at the WHS Academy, Paul Deakin, says the Academy has been purposefully structured to cover all tiers of work health and safety and that training modules have been developed to meet the needs of Australia’s ever-changing workplace environments.

“Everything offered at the Academy is designed to equip students across a vast range of industries with the knowledge and skills required to protect their workforce from risks and create safer, more productive workplaces,” Mr Deakin said.

Accredited and non-accredited courses are available through the Academy and are offered at introductory, developmental and professional levels.

The Academy has been custom-built as a one-stop shop for all business or individual training needs with the option to tailor course structures and offer ongoing consultancy services from experts in the WHS field.

The Rural City of Wangaratta has taken advantage of the Academy’s flexible model by offering WHS training to staff.  The regional Victorian town held a graduation ceremony in October where ten employees received their Certificate IV WHS qualification.

iTFE Chief Executive Officer, Craig McGrath, says investment in Health and Safety is critical for businesses to reduce long-term costs associated with injuries and illness.

“A safer workplace is a smarter workplace. Any workplace not meeting its duty of care is subject to insurance claims, medical bills, higher insurance premiums, replacement labour costs and lost productive time. Investment in WHS will help keep your workforce safe and inevitably save money in the long term,” Mr McGrath said.
