iTFE celebrated the achievements of ten Rural City of Wangaratta team members who have recently completed their Certificate IV in Work Health Safety through iTFE’s WHS Academy.
A graduation ceremony was held at Wangaratta Government Centre to acknowledge the staff’s dedication to health and safety, as well as the productive partnership between the Rural City of Wangaratta and the iTFE WHS Academy.
Graduates were commended for taking on the challenge of studying a full-time course whilst balancing work, family and life commitments
The celebration highlights the Council’s commitment to leading by example in promoting workplace health and safety across the broader Wangaratta community.
The Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is a nationally recognised qualification that equips participants with the skills to create a safer workplace, identify and mitigate risks and offer WHS guidance to staff and leadership teams.
Council employees interact with the community daily through a broad range of community groups. This education in safety transitions into all these avenues, resulting in a safer community.
In addition to the qualification, iTFE has also provided specific leadership training and the promise of ongoing support to ensure the effective implementation of WHS practices within the Council’s workplace.
The graduation also shows that access to fully accredited training is not limited by geographical location, and regional businesses need not miss out on this important upskilling and training for their teams.
The newly launched iTFE Academy has been custom-built as a one-stop shop for all business or individual training needs with the option to tailor course structures and offer ongoing consultancy services from experts in the WHS field.
Businesses and individuals can now benefit from a range of tailored workplace safety training programs offered by the WHS Academy, which has been structured to ensure compliance with contemporary work health and safety regulations.
