Qualified overseas?
You may be able to apply for a Recognition of prior learning (RPL) or a Credit transfer (CT).
Recognition of prior learning (RPL)
If you feel that you already competent in some of the areas covered by the qualification, you can apply for RPL. You will be required to provide evidence of your skills and studies.
This evidence could include:
Certification;
Academic transcripts;
Subject descriptions;
Testimonials;
References from employers and work samples.
Credit transfer (CT)
If you have completed a qualification, or components of a qualification, within the Australian Qualification Framework, you can be considered for a CT.
You will need to provide nationally recognised Certificates with detailed Statement of Attainments listing the units successfully completed with unit codes, titles and dates of completion. The purpose of this procedure is to ensure iTFE recognises and therefore accepts qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other RTOs and TAFEs.
Generally, this is a matter of completing a credit transfer document on the day or during your course or contact us on the form below to discuss your credit transfer options.
Our obligations
When you enrol, you will receive a training program outline and an RPL/CT application form. We are responsible for explaining the process and helping you to complete an application.
Once we have received your application, we are responsible for making a decision in a timely manner. We use a qualified RPL recognition assessor to assess your application.
If elements of your application are unsuccessful, we will explain why. You can apply for a reassessment.
