The Professional Waiter

The Professional Waiter course gives participants an insight into the fundamentals of providing quality customer service while practising core skills necessary to work as a waiter. During the course, students will learn will learn the fine art of silver service dining, mastering light food preparation skills, excelling in wine craft and general wine knowledge, along with menu service skills and the hospitality cycle.
In iTFE’s Professional Waiter course you will gain an understanding of:
- Setting tables
- Greeting customers with a welcoming smile
- Seating customers
- Delivering the menu and advising of specials
- Taking orders
- Delivering meals
- Clearing tables
- Welcoming customers to return
This course uses fake alcohol as a practical training tool. Minors and religiously concerned students need not worry about alcohol being used during this course.
Note: Students on a Student VISA (subclass 500) are not eligible for enrolment.
