Term 1 2020 Holiday Training - Schools Hospitality Essentials Program

Give the students a welcome break from the rigours of the school year and offer the students the chance to be job ready.

Over 2 days students have the chance to be job-ready with real industry skills. Courses meet the minimum requirement for any new employee in the hospitality and retail/service sector, and students receive certificates and experience helping them to enter the industry. Over a couple of days students will be equipped to be ahead of the pack.

This program will take place at our iTFE Training Campus located at 112 Peel St, North Melbourne with convenient accessibility via public transport if required.

Course modules

iTFE is accredited by the Director of Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR), to deliver the Responsible Serving of Alcohol course in Victoria.

Food Safety Handler Level 1 is nationally accredited as SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety. This course is the most up to date version of its kind and recognised throughout Australia.

Barista Level 1 is based upon the nationally accredited Unit of Competency ‘Prepare and serve espresso coffee’ (SITHFAB204) by the Australian National Training Authority.

Employment outcomes

iTFE’s Hospitality Essentials Program is designed to give students a competitive employment advantage. Participants will finish the program with four certificates of participation plus industry required and recognised Food Safety Handler (FSH) certification and the compliance unit of Responsible Service of Alcohol providing them with an approved VCGLR RSA certificate.

Course structure

Course is run over two-days at iTFE Peel Street training location.

Requirements

Participants are required to bring proof of identification documents, such as a passport or driver’s licence on the day of training.
