HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting
iTFE's Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting is a specialised first aid course for individuals working in an education and care setting.
In our eight-hour course, you'll grasp an understanding of CPR, emergency response techniques, allergy management, first aid rescue procedures, asthma and anaphylaxis training and more.
Course Components:
- Respond to an emergency situation with appropriate first aid techniques;
- Apply appropriate emergency first aid procedures in realistic emergency situations;
- Communicate details of an emergency incident;
- Evaluate the incident and own performance;
- Asthma and anaphylaxis training under the Education and Care services
All iTFE First Aid courses are supported with teaching aids to assist with the theory and practical training modules such as CPR manikins, automated external defibrillator, bandages, visual aids, handouts, etc. as appropriate. Each participant will be provided with all of the intellectual materials required to study all modules. This course requires participants to complete a pre-work component online prior to commencing training. Participants will be provided with all necessary details when booking.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a certificate for the Nationally recognised unit of competence HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting which is valid for 3 years. This course also incorporates the Nationally accredited unit HLTAID001 Provide CPR.
Note: Students on a Student VISA (subclass 500) are not eligible for enrolment.

HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a statement of attainment HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting. This unit is Nationally accredited and is valid for three years and includes HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
The Australian Resuscitation Council recommends that you attend a resuscitation update every 12 months.
Course is run over 8 consecutive hours.
There is no prerequisite; however, all participants are required to complete a pre-course work (workbook reading and pre-test assessment), which is emailed with your enrolment confirmation letter. The pre-course work provides essential information necessary to perform CPR, provide emergency life support.
Participants are also required to bring proof of identification documents, such as a passport or driver’s licence on the day of training.
