Cocktail Preparation and Service
iTFE's Cocktail Preparation and Service Course is designed for people looking to enter the hospitality industry with a thorough understanding of mixing and serving cocktails.
During the four-hour Cocktail Preparation and Service course, students will gain an understanding of:
- Cocktail styles, including shake and strain, muddling and building
- Mixing, creating, garnishing, and tasting your cocktail
- Different types of mixers, spirits, and alcohol
- How to make famous cocktails served at the bar
- Learn using real alcohol and taste your drinks
- Cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
Please note, if you want to work in a bar or serve alcohol anywhere in Australia, the law requires that you have a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate. iTFE hosts a number of RSA courses daily and if you book into both the Cocktail Preparation and RSA courses you'll receive 10% off your RSA course. Students must wear closed toe shoes to the class and be over 18 years of age to attend this course.

Employment outcomes
iTFE’s Cocktail Preparation and Service course is designed to give participants a competitive employment advantage through developing their understanding of cocktail creation and service during the course.
Students will receive a certificate of participation upon completion.
Course structure
Course is run over 4 consecutive hours.
Requirements
Participants are required to bring proof of identification documents, such as a passport or driver’s licence on the day of training.
