CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support

iTFE’s Certificate IV in Ageing Support course will get you qualified and teach you the specialised tasks in aged services either in residential, home or community-based environments. This course is suitable for those already working in, or who have studied in, the Aged Care sector as well as people with care or community service experience.

This qualification addresses work primarily in residential facilities, or homes within defined organisation guidelines and service plans. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery.

Workers may be required to demonstrate leadership and have limited responsibility for the organisation and the quantity and quality of outputs of others within limited parameters.

Who should attend this course?

  • People with personal or vocational experience in a specific industry

To achieve this qualification, the candidate must complete at least 120 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.

Course structure

  • 37 weeks: two days per week x 5.5 hours per day = 74 sessions
  • 120 hours Work Placement experience
  • Approximately 7 hours per week of additional study, may include: homework and research activities, completion of assessment tasks and skills practice
