It's Time To Get Your USI
USI or 'Unique Student Identifier' is a Commonwealth Government Initiative that will bring all of your nationally accredited courses into one single location. This initiative is already in place and in order to commence in a nationally accredited course with the Institute of Training and Further Education then you must register for your USI.
Do I need a USI?
If you're currently enrolled in a nationally accredited course, or if you're planning to do so, then it's important that you register for a USI as soon as possible. Registering takes only a few minutes and if you can read this page then you have all the resources needed - a computer and the internet!
Nationally Recognised Training refers to all Australian Apprenticeship, Traineeship, Certificate, Diploma, and Skill Set courses. The best way to check if your course is nationally accredited is to contact us.
Benefits of having a USI
Having a USI is a big deal. If you've ever completed a course before and lost your transcript then you would understand how difficult it can be to get another copy. Some training providers even charge for this service... Using your USI you'll now be able to track all of your past units and see your competency mark appended to them accordingly. Think about it, next time you go for a job interview, and you want to display all of qualifications, you'll be able to download the results and print them off in no time!
How to get a USI
