Frequently asked questions

Question:
What's the difference between Provide First Aid and Basic Emergency Life Support?
Answer:

Provide First Aid is one of the most commonly required first aid courses in Australia. In many instances, this course is a mandatory requirement for workplaces and university courses.

Basic Emergency Life Support is an introduction to first aid. This course takes around four hours to complete and we suggest it for:

  • Babysitters
  • Young families
  • Pool owners

Question:
Do you offer Apply First Aid or Senior First Aid?
Answer:

Apply First Aid, Senior First Aid and Level 2 First Aid are a collection of out-dated or unofficial names for Provide First Aid.

From time to time, nationally accredited courses are updated to ensure they meet modern techniques and standards. Provide First Aid is the most recent and up to date version of these courses.

Note: It's important to check the nationally recognised course code associated with your requirements. For example, Provide First Aid's unit code is HLTAID003.
