Grace is ambitious, energetic and charismatic. As one of our Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care graduates, Grace has started working in a pre-school near where she lives and plans on completing a Certificate IV in School Aged Education and Care in the coming future.
"I grew up with four younger sisters – so most people think I'm crazy to want to spend more time around kids. I love it though – and I don't want to change a thing. "
With her child care course behind her, Grace is planning to open up a small day care centre servicing the local area.
"My family has a background in business and I know there's a part of me that wants to partner my love for child care with my inherited knack for management."
For now, Grace has put her business plans on hold until she's finished raising her own little Grace, due later this year.
Sarah knew for a long time that she wanted to work with children. She was always the babysitter for the children in her street and she enjoyed caring for them. Sarah has always been active and was looking for a carer that would cater this, which is why she chose to complete a Certificate III in School Age Education and Care with us.
"They have so much energy which keeps me on my toes. I like to play games with them that uses up their energy while also being educational."
Sarah currently works in a before and after school care centre where the kids and their parents often thank her for making it so much fun. She finds this very rewarding and is aiming to work her way up become the coordinator at the care centre so she can put all her exciting and educational ideas into action.
